  Hotel is in a good location in Lossiemouth, to start. The rooms are adequate enough, nothing fancy, nothing too shabby. Has to be said the toilet in our room was a bit dated, but overall it was clean, so it really wasn't a problem. I don't want to criticise here, but we had the room at the back of the hotel, so not much can be said in support of the view we had. The buffet breakfast left a bit to be desired. Overall, it wasn't great, if I'm being honest. We stayed for one night at the Stotfield Hotel and overall it was alright. The one thing I would say though, is that management encourage the improvement of, or train staff, on their customer service skills. Upon welcome to the hotel, the receptionist seemed almost offended we chose not to book a table in the hotel restaurant. And when checking out, there wasn't even the question of whether or not we had enjoyed our stay. We were simply presented with our bill and that was that. Manners cost nothing and sometimes make a huge difference. As I say, overall, our stay was satisfactory, without being anything special.

  Reception didn't tell us where to go for meals or drinks just gave us a voucher, room very tired and in serious need of a make over. Breakfast very disorganised ran out of bacon etch took ages for scrambled egg and toaster was snoop slow, won't be going again

  Excellent reception staff provided a warm welcome and had called us in advance to arrange for a travel cot to be set up in room on noticing we had an infant amongst our group on booking. Room was spacious and had fantastic views across the coast, though bathroom would benefit from modernisation. There was a function/party taking place at the hotel on the first night of our stay and although we didn't mind that, there was a lot of noise and shouting in the corridor outside our room and outside the building in the very early hours of the morning which woke the baby and gave us a fairly sleepless night. That aside though, the hotel has been comfortable and convenient for our stay in Lossiemouth.
